Volunteer Spotlight

The Waco Civic Theatre Volunteer Spotlight program aims to recognize and celebrate the incredible efforts of volunteers who bring vibrancy to our theatre, both on stage and behind the scenes. This initiative highlights the invaluable contributions of individuals who have gone above and beyond—whether through a significant one-time effort or through their consistent dedication over time.

At the heart of WCT’s century-long legacy is our community. Volunteers are the backbone of our success, and this program is a small way to show our gratitude and appreciation for their contributions.

How It Works

1. Nominations

  • Nominations can be submitted by any member of the WCT community—staff, volunteers, cast, or audience members.
  • Nominees should be individuals who have significantly contributed to WCT, either through exceptional effort on a specific project or through ongoing involvement.
  • Nominations should include a brief note explaining why the individual deserves to be recognized.
  • Nominations can be sent to community@wacocivictheatre.com

2. Selection

  • A volunteer will be chosen by the WCT leadership team or a designated selection committee.
  • Selections will be based on the impact and significance of the nominee’s contributions to WCT.

3. Recognition

Each Spotlight will receive:

  • Two free tickets to any Spotlight Season show.
  • Complimentary popcorn and drinks for their chosen performance.
  • Winners will be announced on WCT website and in weekly newsletters.

Submit Nominations To:

community@wacocivictheatre.com (Please include the nominee’s name and a brief explanation of why they deserve to be recognized.)

We look forward to receiving nominations and celebrating the extraordinary people who make WCT a thriving center for the arts!

Paul Shank

If you’ve crossed paths with Paul Shank, you already know—he’s a powerhouse of talent, generosity, and heart. During Frozen, Paul devoted countless hours to building and designing essential pieces for the production, all while memorizing his lines and perfecting his blocking.

Whether he’s onstage delivering a stellar performance, sketching out architectural solutions, or quietly fixing something behind the scenes, Paul’s impact is felt in every corner of WCT.

We are incredibly grateful for his dedication, creativity, and the warmth he brings to our community. Thank you, Paul, for helping make the magic happen.
