“Arsenic and Old Lace” is a classic comedy play about two seemingly sweet elderly aunts, Abby and Martha Brewster, who secretly poison lonely old men, believing they are doing them a favor by relieving them of their suffering, while their nephew Mortimer, a drama critic, must grapple with this dark family secret when he discovers their macabre hobby, often while trying to navigate his own romantic life; the play is known for its darkly humorous plot, eccentric characters, and fast-paced action.
